Major Mohit Sharma Museum

*Dear Citizens & well wishers of Indian Army Para SF*

Due to persistent efforts of community of retired & active uniformed personnel's, as well, by the family members of late Major Mohit Sharma, Ashok Chakra (Posthumous), Sena Medal, they were able to get Metro Station in Sahibabad renamed in his memory.

An adjoining traffic circle has also been named in his honour and his bust is placed there at present. Plans are afoot to create a small museum in the honor of Indian Army's Para 1 SF ( of which Major Mohit was also part of).

 Padmashree, Shri Ram Sutar (of statue of Unity fame) agreed for making his full Statue for a fee. The work is likely to be completed soon.

They are also conducting other events at various schools in memory of fallen Para 1 SF brave-hearts including late Major Mohit Sharma.

Though they are financing the project themselves, the costs are running high.

Contributions from well wishers like you in his honour, for this noble cause are welcome and much needed to immortalize the fallen soldier and son of the soil.

They intend to inaugurate his statue on 21 Mar 2021, which happens to be his balidaan diwas as well.
