Providing dry ration kits to Brahmin Priests affected by covid 19

In the face of this global pandemic, countless lives have been uprooted, especially that of the vulnerable and marginalised. These mainly include those without shelters and workers from both within and outside the state, who have lost their jobs in these hard times. The second wave that is now prevailing, has hit India very hard.

We have been hearing stories of how various sections of the society have lost their livelihood because of the unavoidable Lockdowns in india. One such segment which has been affected are the Brahmin priests. Unable to move out of their homes and with Temples closed, all sources of income is blocked. Unfortunately, they seldom come out in the open and ask for help,

Understanding their plight, I have taken it upon myself to support them in as many ways as possible. One such initiative is to provide them with ration kits comprising of the most essential items including rice, dal, oil, atta, sugar, salt and other spices. Efforts have been taken to get the best items as very good prices. Each such kit costing Rs. 800 will support a family of 4 for one month. Teams of volunteers who will take utmost safety procedures, have also been identified for distribution of these kits. Our initial target is supporting 100 families and can extend this number depending on the support we get.
