About the Fundraiser

I, a follower of ISKCON for many years, have been seeing them doing much social welfare work like Annadanam, Goseva(Cow Protection), etc. As of now, they are going through difficult times in maintaining cows due to the Covid Pandemic crisis. I request everyone to help them. 

The members of the movement tirelessly work to protect and preach Sanatana Dharma in order to bring peace and unity to society. In our Vedic culture, Cows are considered the backbone of our society.

 Founder-Acharya of ISKCON, Srila Prabhupada emphasized so much on Cow Protection because Cows are very dear to Lord Govinda. According to the ancient Vedic texts, the cow is representative of Mother Earth.

And, when the cow and the bull are mistreated, Mother Earth withdraws her bounty. To safeguard and sustain Mother Cows, ISKCON has been working vigorously to stop Cow slaughtering and we have established four Goshalas in and around Tirupati. In this way, we are trying to educate people that one can get all their necessary resources simply by serving Mother Cows.

As Cows are very dear to Lord Govinda, and very rightly Lord Krishna is addressed as Gopala (one who tends and protects Mother Cows). We also understand from the pastime of Lord Balaji that how He personally took the blow on His head when the Cowherd tried to attack Mother Cow. Also, it is stated in Srimad Bhagavatam that in any civilized society - Cows, Brahmanas, Children, Women, and Elderly people are to be given utmost care and protection.

In order to serve Mother Cows, we have around 400 Cows and they are placed at four different locations in and around Tirupati at the following

places :

• ISKCON temple (Cows - 32 nos; Bulls - 12 nos; Calves - 35 nos)

• Akkarampalle (Cows - 44 nos; Bulls - 22 nos; Calves - 43 nos)

• Chinnagottigallu (Cows - 18 nos; Bulls - 60 nos; Calves - 10 nos)

• Pachikapallam (Cows - 54 nos; Bulls - 34 nos; Calves - 10 nos)

Mostly, the Cows are saved from the Slaughterhouses. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there is so much financial crunch at our end. Hence, We request Your good self to come forward at this critical time to support us in serving and protecting Mother Cows. So, we request your good self to extend monetary help for Cow fodder and Dry grass as per the requirement mentioned below for a tenure of six months :

ISKCON Temple Goshala requirements for One month :

• 10 Truckloads of Dry grass & 120 Bags of Cow fodder(1 Bag = 50kgs)

Akkarampalle Goshala requirements for One month :

• 15 Truckloads of Dry grass & 150 Bags of Cow fodder

Chinnagottigallu Goshala requirements for One month :

• 15 Truckloads of Dry grass & 50 Bags of Cow fodder

Pachikapallam Goshala requirements for One month :

• 15 Truckloads of Dry grass & 50 Bags of Cow fodder

The expenses involved in maintaining one Goshala for one-month costs around Rs.5 lakhs. So, Please extend your kind help and oblige.

Whatever amount collected will be completely used for buying cows' fodders for at least one month.
