Namaste / Vanakkam,
The memories of Cyclone Nivar were as fresh as a week and a half when fresh rains lashed the north coast of Tamil Nadu. This new bout of rain due to Cyclone Burevi since the night of December 01, has left the coastal district of Cuddalore in tatters.
Life has been thrown off gear in Cuddalore district. I am sure most of us saw pictures of the impact of rains on the large campus of Sri Nataraja temple in Chidambaram. If that is the plight of the golden roofed Aadal Arasar or the King of Dance’ abode, imagine the plight of the people in the coastline.
We, at Samudra Bharathi Tamil Nadu (Seema Jagran Manch, Uttar Tamil Nadu) have been at the forefront, helping our people at the hour of need. The precious reserves from your contributions to us of Rs. 1,50,000 was immediately pressed to use.
On December 04th we managed to serve food to 4,500 needy people through the community kitchen we have opened. Starting tomorrow, this kitchen would serve 7,000 people from 3 different locations. We plan to increase the intensity of our service in the days to come. With heavy rains being forecast the people of this coastal region need all our support and prayers.
We need your support now, more than any other time. Join us to serve our brothers and sisters in these coastal areas. Any help is a big help, we look forward to your contributions towards the relief work.
Vetrivel Veeravel !!
